The Principals and General Partners of Magnet Capital are Michael Shields and Gregory Mischel.
Both are experienced financial and small business professionals.
- Gregory Mischel
Mr. Mischel is an experienced business consultant, merger and acquisition specialist and financial analyst.
His background ranges from ownership and operation of a successful consulting practice to due diligence and
negotiation for acquisitions on behalf of a large multi-national commercial bank. His employment includes
marketing experience with AT&T and significant roles with Bank of America’s mergers and acquisitions programs
and involvement in restructuring the bank’s latin American debt portfolio.
Mr. Mischel holds a BA in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Michigan and an MBA in Finance from
Carnegie Mellon University.
- Michael Shields
Mr. Shields is an experienced commercial banker, business consultant, financial specialist and small business owner.
His twenty-five year commercial banking background has centered around small and middle-market lending, primarily
in the West and Southwestern US. He has held senior roles with banks ranging from $1 to $10 billion in asset size
and has maintained a successful career through several economic cycles. As a consultant, he advised lending
institutions on programs to enhance deal flow and advised bank clients on programs to enhance their borrowing
relationships.
Mr. Shields holds a BS degree in Industrial Management from Wayne State University and is a graduate of the
Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington.
